As promised, this post is in regard to the winning profits from The SUBSPACE EMISSARY COLLAB and its helpful contribution to the people in Gaza. I originally wanted to donate to multiple families as a way to help those in need, but recently, apps like PayPal and Cashapp have begun to stop working for people in Gaza. So instead, I've divided the profits and donated to two separate groups who are trusted and affiliated with the people of Gaza and Palestine.

Anyways, WAHOO! We finished The Subspace Emissary collab! It took us a while, but me and MSGHero wanted to make sure the game was nice and polished for release! It's been an incredible few months, interacting with the community and seeing everyone's work was an excitement to look forward to everyday working on this! Thank you to everyone who participated and waited patiently for release, we hope you enjoy the final product!

Post Monthly Voting

This is not a way to sway people into voting this for August's voting. This ONLY goes for me, anybody else who will receive anything from this project are free to do as they please with their half.

If I receive any money from this project, I will be donating to multiple families in Gaza and Palestine who are suffering and need to evacuate. All receipts will be posted once donations have been made; I think I'd prefer to donate a decent amount to multiple families who need it, rather than a large amount to few families. It's not much, but anything is a blessing for those poor souls right now, free Gaza.

WEEK 4 UPDATE

It's almost the end of the month! We've managed to get a lot of progress done on both sizes for this month. Since the collab began, we managed to fill all slots within less than two weeks, got HALF of the roster submitted, and got a lot of graphic and programming stuff completed! I've spent all day working on the category menu, along with other UI fixes. I hope you'll all appreciate my dedication to mocking-up the original as accurately as possible! Here's this week statistics:

• 29 artists have work-in-progress pieces (50%)

Good news! MSGHero is preparing a playable test this weekend so we can see how everything is coming together. Like I said previously, I'm making all the UI graphics for the game portion of this collab, so it'll be exciting to see how he compiles all my work coming together! Looking forward to sharing more on that soon.

theweathermanYT is still in development for creating the soundtracks.

This is the last weekly update for the Subspace Emissary Collab. Other updates will be when all artists have submitted their work, and when the game is near completion. This weekend, I will be sending notices out to ALL unfinished artists for this collaboration. Though we still have way over a month to complete all works, I still will highly urge those with spare time to finish their pieces as soon as possible.

WEEK 3 UPDATE

It's been a slow week with the collab, but progress has been getting done!

I've gone back and reworked some of the game's UI graphics, made some Newgrounds medal icons (which will be unlockable when the game is finished.), and I made an intro animation for the game as well! It's a mock-up to the original intro animation. I look forward to showing it off soon enough! Here's this week statistics:

USER STATISTICS:

• 25 of 59 users has finished pieces (42%)
• 34 artists have work-in-progress pieces (58%)

MSGHero has the core of the preloader and main game done. We realized that the Wii's resolution was actually 640x480 (not 720x480), but Brawl also has a ratio setting to adjust to 16:9 (854x480). So, there is a chance the game may chance aspect ratios when viewing from browser and playing in full screen. More to come soon.

Meanwhile, theweathermanYT has been chipping away at the soundtrack, looking forward to hearing them soon.

After next week's update, I will not be doing further updates until ALL artists have completely submitted their works, and when the game is near completion. I will also be sending out notice forms on June 1st (Next Saturday) for anybody that has not finished their parts yet.

WEEK 2 UPDATE

We filled all 59 slots!

On Monday, May 13th, we finally got everyone for the collaboration! With almost 3 weeks to spare! Thank you to everyone who has joined to help contribute! I hope everyone takes this extra time to begin their illustration work. Now here's this week's statistics:

USER STATISTICS:

• 59 of 59 artists has slots filled (100%)
• 22 users have finished pieces (37%)

MSGHero has begun to work on coding the game. Right now, we're creating the main menu- at least figuring out how to go about it. It'll have the most animation besides the actual gallery, so it's more-so recreating the logo animation at the moment.

And I would like to introduce our wonderful composer for this collab, theweathermanYT! I found a lot of his classical Music was just what I was looking for! He'll be providing everyone with an amazing and immersive soundtrack to listen to while browsing the gallery (or sitting on the menu screen). I encourage you to check out more of their work!

Now then, let's talk a little more on the game we're cooking up!

Allow me to introduce to programmer for this project: MSGHero! Who previously helped with the Creature Collab (2023). We've been discussing and planning on the development; I've been drawing the backgrounds and UI elements to help.

I'm also in the works of talking with a delightful composer on helping with this project as well! His orchestral video game covers will help bring the calming delight of scrolling through the gallery! More details soon.
